Friday Bazaar

Today we had the opportunity to participate in a seasonal bazaar being held locally. We have a little family side business selling name certificates. These give a lovely description plus the meaning and origins of your name. We only do it a couple of times a year when these fairs come up. It is a great way for the children to learn about business, budgeting, funds, floats and pr. Not to mention sales and exposure to handling different types of customers.

My eldest son has done it for a couple of years and is quite the expert. He could to do it on his own – very confident and self assured.

However today was my daughters first time. She was a little apprehensive to start with. Really she just spent most of her time observing and learning. We will probably do it again this year so she will have another chance at it. All good experience!

It is nice getting out to these bazaar's and having a look around at the other stalls.

This one had arabic rugs, pashmina shawls and other embroidered items. Many of them are beaded and have lovely textures. Great inspiration for colour combinations and style.
