There seems to be some disparity regarding the definition of the word hybrid in the paper crafting world. Personally I always thought of it as anything where you took one medium from any form of art or craft and merged or morphed it with another to create something new.
Seeing everything was already out for making cards it made sense to make another one. Only for three challenges this time though. 
I really liked the Mojo Monday sketch that I did last week and this Mojo Monday 149 pushed me even further. Elegant and classy was the desired effect but am not so sure that the adorable couple from the Pollycraft Monday Challenge don't fit more into the "cute whimsy" style of card.
My friend Sylvia introduced me to a site called Pile It On this week. There they list many of the card challenges around on the days they are released. I had a lot of fun checking them out and spent hours drooling over some very talented ladies cards and blogs. This week I thought I would try to "pile it on".
I have been wanting to try out a Mojo Monday sketch for a while but been very intimidated by the wonderful work always seen on the blog there. However with things the way they have been this last week or so, especially with the news from home I am feeling the need to "try" things I have wanted to do. Compelled, if you will, to tackle some of the things I want to do or have intimidated me.

Today I created another template for this cute golfing kit Hole in One from Chelle's Creations who happens to be one of this months guest designers at The Digi Chick. Such a great kit for the golfers in your life.
Often people ask me about the name of my blog and I have been considering Altered Life Designs as a design name. So when the art journal challenge at Digiridoo Scraps was about something life altering it was the perfect opportunity to write about it.
This week I had the chance to play with a fun paper pack from Donna of Quirky Twerp. The Happy Little Fourth Paper pack is fabulous for both scrapbooking, card making or any hybrid project you might want to tackle. Of course it goes perfectly with my 4th of July inspired Template.
