We travel a lot! I have so much paraphernalia from those trips – not to mention the 1000's (yes you read that right!) of photos taken en route. The bits and pieces are all stored on those nice paper style carry bags they sometimes give you in stores – all collected from our trips and sitting in the bottom of my scrap cupboard waiting to be put into albums.
My page for day 6 of Journal Your Christmas covers both the good and the sad side of Christmas 2006.
Everything used in this layout is from Artemia Charity kit available at After Five Designs. Shape is based on a background template by Maria Ferguson of Duchess Designs.
This is an interesting prompt today. It is about journaling your count down to Christmas. We have never really done the advent thing though I would like to. Perhaps next year!
Today saw me making our Christmas cards. These were done digitally and printed out. Having planned to do it today the prompt was a timely one. Won't show it here till after Christmas as some of my readers are recipients.
Dreaming of a White Christmas. At least that is what today's prompt from Shimelle made me think about. One day hopefully we will get to experience that side of the world and the beauty of a white Christmas.
I am so excited about the Journal Your Christmas class I am taking over at Shimelle.com. Having always done so many things with my munchkins at Christmas it will be nice to have it all journaled and compiled to sit and enjoy. Plus think about the memories in years to come.
I did it!

Almost didn't as things can get way too busy in December. Deciding to do it mostly digi with a touch of hybrid made up my mind. I would love to do it fully paper. Maybe next year. One of the great things about this class is once you have joined you can do it every year.
Today would have been Mum's 63rd birthday. So in honour of her I have done a layout. There are quite a few photos of Mum as a little girl. She even had a scrapbook with photos – but not much information about them.
Baking is another one of my (hhhehemm) few hobbies. Since I was very young it is something that has been a passion.
I don't need an excuse to cook but if there is a really good reason I love to break out the pans and cook up a storm. DD, whose birthday is right before Christmas, is having a 'Tea Party" to celebrate with a few friends….a little early. What better excuse than to get into the kitchen and 'practice' the pretty cupcakes, and other tea menu items she has requested.
