I think this sentiment is true for any of us no matter our nationality. We are all born with the desire to be free, to make our own choices and not live under the tyranny of anyone. And so it should be!
My page for day 6 of Journal Your Christmas covers both the good and the sad side of Christmas 2006.
Everything used in this layout is from Artemia Charity kit available at After Five Designs. Shape is based on a background template by Maria Ferguson of Duchess Designs.
This is an interesting prompt today. It is about journaling your count down to Christmas. We have never really done the advent thing though I would like to. Perhaps next year!
Today saw me making our Christmas cards. These were done digitally and printed out. Having planned to do it today the prompt was a timely one. Won't show it here till after Christmas as some of my readers are recipients.
Dreaming of a White Christmas. At least that is what today's prompt from Shimelle made me think about. One day hopefully we will get to experience that side of the world and the beauty of a white Christmas.
I am so excited about the Journal Your Christmas class I am taking over at Shimelle.com. Having always done so many things with my munchkins at Christmas it will be nice to have it all journaled and compiled to sit and enjoy. Plus think about the memories in years to come.
I did it!

Almost didn't as things can get way too busy in December. Deciding to do it mostly digi with a touch of hybrid made up my mind. I would love to do it fully paper. Maybe next year. One of the great things about this class is once you have joined you can do it every year.
Today we attempted one of these paper cone trees.
My youngest daughter wanted to try one out. We saw it on a blog a while back. I didn't bookmark it so if it is from your blog..let me know so I can link it up. We only saw it the once so had to go from memory. I am not sure it is as nice as the original but DD likes it.
These little boxes are so cute and easy to make. If you have any kind of little gift to give why not make a box to match the card. It really does make the gift something extra special.
It is all looking so good. I have had time to glance at the next lot of lessons up to date but not had a chance to dig in yet. It has prompted thoughts and memories for sure. Whilst actually working on this thing I have had the ipod on and playing some music from…oh way back when
and that brought a rush of memories. My kids also thought I was nuts – singing out loud to all those "old" songs.
