Just a quick shot of the party table taken before the guests arrived. A sneak peak if you like.
As soon as I get all the photo's edited I will put some more up here.
I am so excited about the Journal Your Christmas class I am taking over at Shimelle.com. Having always done so many things with my munchkins at Christmas it will be nice to have it all journaled and compiled to sit and enjoy. Plus think about the memories in years to come.
Today we had the opportunity to participate in a seasonal bazaar being held locally. We have a little family side business selling name certificates. These give a lovely description plus the meaning and origins of your name. We only do it a couple of times a year when these fairs come up. It is a great way for the children to learn about business, budgeting, funds, floats and pr. Not to mention sales and exposure to handling different types of customers.
Today would have been Mum's 63rd birthday. So in honour of her I have done a layout. There are quite a few photos of Mum as a little girl. She even had a scrapbook with photos – but not much information about them.
Baking is another one of my (hhhehemm) few hobbies. Since I was very young it is something that has been a passion.
I don't need an excuse to cook but if there is a really good reason I love to break out the pans and cook up a storm. DD, whose birthday is right before Christmas, is having a 'Tea Party" to celebrate with a few friends….a little early. What better excuse than to get into the kitchen and 'practice' the pretty cupcakes, and other tea menu items she has requested.
It is all looking so good. I have had time to glance at the next lot of lessons up to date but not had a chance to dig in yet. It has prompted thoughts and memories for sure. Whilst actually working on this thing I have had the ipod on and playing some music from…oh way back when
and that brought a rush of memories. My kids also thought I was nuts – singing out loud to all those "old" songs.
It is finally done.
This is one of two layouts going up at Jessica Sprague in the class gallery. There are some wonderful pictures by some very talented ladies creations in there already. Certainly lots of inspiration. Perhaps now this is complete I can spend some time browsing and enjoying them more.
Here is a peek at my desk.
Day three of Stories in Hand and I am flat out. It is fun but hard work. Lot of designing printing and cutting. Not to mention lots of glue too.
This is what I am working on today.
I have had this made up and sandwiched, pinned and ready to quilt for…oh way too long to remember. It was wrapped up with some other things in a protective roll and covered when we moved some years back and there it stayed. Forgotten, unloved and incomplete.
I have been working on a little gift for my son who will be 15 soon. He made a comment a couple of weeks ago about the draw back of digital being "the photo's are always on the computer".
